This letter serves to inform property owners in the Sanctuary of Lake Nottely subdivision of recent projects and events in the neighborhood. Those who are full time residents may be aware of the following already:

​

1. Unfortunately, we start with sad news. Our HOA president and friend Tom Downes passed away on October 10.  Tom served as board president for 8 years and was known for his friendly demeanor and helpfulness. Tom went out of his way to greet new residents and help make them feel welcome in our wonderful neighborhood.  His last project was to update the by-laws to include a prohibition against short-term rental properties. This has been added to the Covenants section.  Maintaining the peaceful atmosphere of the neighborhood was always Tom's priority.  He will be greatly missed.

 

2. The remaining board members moved to fill the position of HOA president, as pending end of year

matters required attention. Full-time resident Paul Furman volunteered for the position and was voted

in by the board. 

 

3. Long time HOA vice-president Jose Bachman announced he was ready to step down from his position due to changes in his work schedule requirements. Resident John Angelo volunteered for that position and was also voted in by the board. Jose has agreed to remain active in a support and advisory capacity and we are very thankful for his leadership.

 

4. Construction has started or is about to start on five new homes within the subdivision. This means a

total of 50 (+/-) households in the neighborhood. We are excited about new neighbors but caution about the additional construction traffic during this building process.

 

5. We are actively pursuing the re-paving of Longview Drive and repairing select spots along the other streets. We are also considering updates to the main gate controls.
